GREETINGS:
We would
like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to check your
water pipe insulation and heat tapes. Winter is here and the
freezing days are with us. One of the most important things to
do is to insure that your water pipes are protected from
freezing. Please take the time to get this chore accomplished as
soon as possible. The cost and hardship of frozen pipes is
something we all would like to avoid. Senior citizens may
contact your local Senior Center for Free or low cost assistance
in wrapping your water pipes and in making other improvements to
your home.
While we
are on the subject of getting under your home, now would be an
excellent time to make sure the skirting around your home is
completely sealed. With the weather getting colder, wild
animals, such as opossums, skunks and raccoons are looking for a
warm place to live. A wild animal living or worse dieing under
your home is bad news. They can destroy your homes insulation
or even get inside of your home through the vents and make your
life miserable.
PARKING is
always a problem. There are a limited number of guest parking
spaces at the rear of the community as well as one near the
mailboxes, in addition there is ample guest parking at the
center of the community. Please do not park your personal
vehicles in these areas. These areas are for visitors and
registered guests. Carpool parking for persons traveling with
residents may use the guest parking area at the center of the
community.
Guests are
welcome here in our community, but are required to be registered
with the office within 3 days. Any guest desiring to stay more
than 60 days must complete an application for residency.
The recycle
bins are for mixed recyclable materials only. No plastic bags,
garbage, Styrofoam food trays or diapers are to be placed in the
recycle bins. All of your recyclable paper, cardboard and clean
bottles, tin and aluminum cans may be placed in the same recycle
bin. NO garbage or Styrofoam. Also no window
glass, mirrors, videos, CDs or electronic parts can be recycled.
The yard waste bins are for yard waste only, No Sod, no bags,
garbage or recyclable materials. No wood or lumber may be
placed in the yard waste dumpsters. Please use them
properly.
Just a
reminder if you are selling your home you and your prospective
buyer must contact the office 15 days prior to the sale of your
home, or your buyer may be denied residency in our community.
Remember
that all pets according to your rental agreement are house pets
and must be kept inside your home. Any pet found wondering
around outside of your home will be considered a stray and may
be taken to the Animal Shelter in North Kent. Also all Pets
must be spayed or neutered. Animals may not be allowed to have
kittens or pups in our community.
