FIRE DISTRICT #4
You may have read in the Snohomish Tribune that our fire department
needs our support. As of January 1st, 2007 there
will no longer be paramedics
to respond to 911 calls in district #4, and we are in that
district. For the past 5 years
they have tried to pass levies to support paramedics and they
have failed. They have
in the past contracted with Monroe for this service, but that is
ending. This means that there will be only basic life support
available through the EMT’s. They are not
qualified to do advanced life support for heart attack, strokes,
seizures
or other serious injuries. They will not be able to start IV’s
or give pain
medications or many other life saving duties.
If you would like to voice your opinion or find out what might be
done
to solve this problem, there will be a meeting on December 11th,
at 7 pm
at the district headquarters at 1525 Ave D in Snohomish. If
anyone is going
could you please let me know, as I will need a ride.
MYSTERY SNOW-FAIRY?
On a Monday I was out checking trees on the north end and I came
across
this beautifully sculpted little snow-fairy. I talked to some
of the residents near
there and they said one minute there was nothing, then they
looked out and there
was what looked like a snow-woman, then next thing you know…
there were blue wings on her back. Who could have done such a
thing in such a short time?
After extensive investigation (following footprints in the
snow), it lead me to #37. Could it have been Linda Beilfus out
playing in the snow? Thank you for the
beautiful little fairy Linda, it brightened our day.
